When do you open?

Hours vary by season, but currently our hours are:

• Thursday: 10 am-6 pm

• Friday: 10 am-10 pm (for events like Free Friday Nights)

• Saturday: 10 am-6 pm

• Sunday: 12 pm-6 pm

​​​Where should I park?

Free on-site parking is available. Staff may help direct traffic during busy weekends and events.

 

​​​Is there an admission fee?

General admission and parking are free, admission for the Petting Farm is $8 for children and $10 for adults.

​​​Do you host weddings or private events?

​Yes! Please visit our Event Venue page for more information and complete the form there to be contacted.

​​​When do you have apple picking available?

It depends on the season and crop conditions. Apple picking is sometimes limited due to weather conditions. ​Keep an eye on our Facebook page for announcements and apple-picking dates.

 

​​​When do pumpkins and fall activities start?

Pumpkin picking begins in mid-September, with our full fall experiences kicking into gear in October.

 

Are dogs allowed?

​We love pets, but please leave them at home. Due to food safety requirements, pets are not permitted in any growing field, food prep areas, or near the petting farm. Trained ADA service dogs that are leashed and properly trained are welcome. ​

Can I bring my own food/drinks?​

No outside food or drinks are allowed. But no worries. We offer plenty on-site!

We understand that some guests have specific needs. Exceptions are made for baby food and formula, medically necessary items, and dietary accommodations for health or accessibility needs. If you have a specific concern, we're happy to help. Just ask a staff member when you arrive.

Can we feed the animals in the petting farm?​

Animal feed is available on-site for $2 a cup. For the safety of both our animals and guests, outside food is not permitted for animal feeding.

What are "Free Friday Nights"?​

These are free, family-friendly, live music events held on specific Friday nights. We offer extended hours, and food and drinks are available for purchase. You don't need tickets to attend; however, you can reserve a table in advance for a fee.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit, and debit cards. No checks, please.

Can I take photos or book a photoshoot?

Visitors are welcome to take photos (we love seeing your photos online!). Professional photo shoots require permission and a $25 fee. Please use the form at the bottom of this page to schedule a photography session on the property.

Do you offer group rates or field trips?

Group visits and field trips are available on a limited basis. Please contact us in advance for details and scheduling.

What if it rains?

We are generally open rain or shine unless there is severe weather. Please follow our Facebook page for real-time updates and announcements.

Are restrooms available?

Yes! Restrooms are available on-site for guests. Restroom facilities are located near the main market and event areas. Accessible restrooms are also available.

Is Dougherty Orchards accessible?

We strive to make Dougherty Orchards & Winery a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all guests.

• The main market, winery, and event spaces are accessible.

• Parking is available near the main buildings.

• Service animals are welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines.

• Accessible restrooms are available.

As a working orchard and outside farm, some areas (such as fields, pumpkin patches, and certain activity zones) may have uneven terrain, gravel, or grass, which can be more difficult to navigate for wheelchair users and other mobility devices. If you have specific accessibility needs, we encourage you to reach out ahead of your visit so we can help you plan the best possible experience.

Strollers are welcome in main areas like the market and event spaces; however, outdoor zones with grass, dirt, or gravel may be harder to navigate.

Is there seating available?

Yes! Seating is available throughout the property, especially near food, drink, and event areas. During peak times, seating may fill up quickly.

Do you serve alcohol?

Yes! We offer a selection of wine, cider, and seasonal drinks. Guests must be 21+ to purchase and consume alcohol; a valid ID is required for alcohol purchases.

What is the best time to visit?

Weekdays and earlier in the day tend to be less crowded. Fall weekends are the busiest (and most festive!).

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

We aim to keep the orchard fresh, family-friendly, and comfortable for all guests. Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated areas.
